About this product

Rectify the Qi.
Transform the Damp.

Atone Tea is Botanical Biohacking’s Imperial Grade version of Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Tang (藿香正气汤), “Agastache Formula to Rectify the Qi.” It is one of the most widely recognized formulas in Chinese medicine and has been brewed in China for centuries. Smooth, sweet, and genuinely delicious.

In TCM Terms

Atone Tea aromatically transforms dampness, rectifies the qi, releases the exterior, and harmonizes the middle jiao. At Crawford Wellness we reach for it for the heavy, damp pattern: a sluggish, weighed-down feeling, a full or unsettled stomach, and low appetite, especially in humid weather or after rich food. It is a favorite summer and autumn tea.

Ingredients

  • Huo Xiang / Agastache: the chief herb. Our leaf:stem ratio is ≥1:2, well above the pharmacopeia minimum of 1:4.
  • Zi Su Ye / Perilla Leaf: top-quality purple-backed leaves sourced through direct connections.
  • Bai Zhi / Angelica Dahurica
  • Da Fu Pi / Areca Peel
  • Bai Zhu / White Atractylodes
  • Fu Ling / Poria
  • Ban Xia Qu / Fermented Pinellia
  • Hou Po / Magnolia Bark
  • Jie Geng / Platycodon
  • Chen Pi / Aged Citrus Peel
  • Gan Cao / Licorice Root

Why This Version Is Different

  • Ban Xia Qu vs. Fa Ban Xia: Most Huo Xiang Zheng Qi on the market uses Fa Ban Xia (processed with alum). Botanical Biohacking uses the original Ban Xia Qu, fermented with ginger juice and Shen Qu, as the classical formula calls for.
  • Leaf-rich Huo Xiang: more leaf means more of the aromatic oils the formula is known for.
  • Zi Su Ye sourcing: Botanical Biohacking sources its Perilla through direct relationships; look for the deep purple color on the back of each leaf.

How to Brew Atone Tea

Boil water and add 1–4 teabags. Steep covered for 10–20 minutes, strain and sip. Re-brew the same teabags several times until no flavor or aroma remains.
