Peak Tea is a streamlined herbal formula built on two respected classical formulas, Xiao Chai Hu Tang and San Ren Tang. Several herbs from the originals were removed to concentrate on the most active ingredients, led by wild-crafted Tibetan Chai Hu (Bupleurum).

Also pairs well with Wind Tea.

In TCM Terms

Peak Tea opens, lifts, and clears heat from the shaoyang layer, the semi-interior zone between the surface and the organs. It also restores the descending function of the Lungs and aromatically transforms and drains dampness. At Crawford Wellness we use it within our practitioner-guided protocols for shaoyang and damp-heat patterns.

Ingredients

• Chai Hu / Bupleurum Radix (wild-crafted, Tibet): the chief herb. Opens the shaoyang, clears heat, and moves liver qi. Wild-crafted Tibetan Chai Hu is prized over commercially grown roots.
• Yin Chen Hao / Artemisiae Scopariae: clears heat and dampness from the liver and gallbladder. The key addition that distinguishes Peak Tea from the classical formulas.
• Ku Xing Ren / Bitter Apricot Kernel: restores the descending function of the lungs.
• Bai Dou Kou / White Cardamom: aromatically transforms dampness, warms the middle jiao, and moves qi.
• Yi Yi Ren / Job’s Tears: drains dampness, strengthens the spleen, and clears heat.

How to Brew Peak Tea

Boil 1–2 teabags for 20–30 minutes rather than simply steeping. This draws out the full character of Chai Hu and the other roots.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Keep sealed after opening
• Keep out of reach of children
