Neutrogena is a modification of Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang, the #1 formula in China for post-stroke sequelae including limb spasticity and weakness, speech and swallowing difficulty, cognitive problems, and cardiovascular vulnerability. This modification adds Tian Ma and Gou Teng which eliminate wind (tremor) and contain small but therapeutically active amounts of Da Huang, Qing Lian Qiao, and Jin Yin Hua to eliminate heat and toxin (Neurocardial inflammation). It uses Imperial Grade herbs to ensure potency and safety.
Though Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang was designed for post-stroke sequelae, it is applied to a variety of blood stasis with Qi deficiency-type presentations. This is very common as well with Neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's', MS, or chronic Lyme. Concussions, eye problems, and head or traumatic brain injuries (TBI), are also often characterized by this pattern and treated accordingly.
It is also a key part of stage 4 of our fibromyalgia treatment protocol.
Traditionally used for relief from:
*Post-stroke sequelae (please consult your pharmacist prior to use if taking blood thinning medication such as Warfarin, Eliquis, or Xarelto)
*TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)
*Chronic Neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's, MS, or chronic Lyme disease
*Small Vessel Ischemic Damage (research shows this formula may prevent further damage)

Learn how to brew Neurogene Tea:
This tea contains seeds and it is recommended to boil for 20 to 30 minutes for maximum extraction of the active ingredients.
Bonus Nerdy Highlights:
Lian Qiao has 青翘qing qiao (green lian qiao) and 老翘 Lao qiao (old lian qiao). Qing Qiao is harvested between the end of July and the beginning of September, steamed and dried; Lao Qiao is harvested October and dried. Qing Qiao is better at clearing lung heat while Lao qiao is better at clearing large intestine heat. Qing Qiao has higher volatile oil content; it's Forsythiaside content is up to 10 times of that in Lao qiao. Qing Qiao is stronger at inhibiting bacteria. In our Neurogene tea (Modified Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang), we exclusively use Qing Qiao. The purpose of it in this formula is to clear hidden liver heat. It makes the sclera of the eyes shiny and reduces inflammation in the brain as well. Shiny eyes are a sign that neural inflammatory levels are in check.
